[fusion_text]We will be visiting Romania for a half day conference to present a talk on Managing Multi-site, Multi-technology Connectivity.
It is much easier to build a cabling infrastructure, than to manage it in-life where changes in technology, people and organizational boundaries are constant. Modern cabling design has to take into account a density and flexibility of cabling infrastructure that outstripped the capabilities of spreadsheets years ago, but for many it is still the only tool they have. Adopting standards such as BICSI-002, TIA606B and others are often only partially successful in making cabling easier to manage. Simple issues like naming and labeling are still industry wide problems, though it doesn’t have to stay like that. Often awareness of better techniques and practices is all that is needed. This presentation will cover methods used in a number of case studies where existing infrastructure needed to be better controlled and the steps taken. The objectives were faster delivery of changes, less risk of outage, more control of capacity – and less spreadsheets!
This event will commence at 09:00 AM and will conclude at 14:00 PM.[/fusion_text][title size=”1″ content_align=”left” style_type=”default” sep_color=”” margin_top=”” margin_bottom=”” class=”” id=””]
