AssetGen SysMap
AssetGen SysMap – System Mapper and CMDB Analyser
AssetGen SysMap helps you to understand easily the dependencies between business processes, IT services, applications, middleware, databases and hardware. It can be used stand-alone as well as an enhancement to existing service desk CMDBs, providing a simple, yet powerful analysis capability for IT teams managing infrastructure change.
AssetGen SysMap links information on configuration items (CIs) such as business processes, users, services, applications, modules, network equipment, servers, etc. via user-defined relationships. With built in search and reporting features, the application becomes a powerful tool for impact and dependancy analysis in configuration, service and change management.

Identify the business processes or applications affected if a server fails |

|
Understand the databases and supporting servers used by critical business processes |

|
Ensure incidents, changes and problems are categorised correctly for improved service management reporting |
When integrated with AssetGen Connect, AssetGen SysMap makes it quick and simple for technical and service teams to combine knowledge of complex IT infrastructures. AssetGen SysMap provides a flexible system that can incorporate different types of relationships (technical, service, batch, ownership, location) applied across multiple CI types – reducing the proliferation of documents and formats typically used.
If used with service desk CMDBs, AssetGen SysMap provides an alternative user interface which makes change impact analysis a fast, easy operation. Verification of CIs and service relationships becomes simple – even in environments with 100s or 1000s of servers. AssetGen SysMap can also be integrated with netViz, enabling the production of service maps at various levels of granularity, with change and incident data superimposed.
Along with our technology we also offer services through our partners for system configuration, implementation, integration and ongoing product support. |
